Eurail Pass growth
Eurail Group is pleased to announce that we have now passed the 400.000 passengers mark resulting in a growth of 12,3% if compared to 2009.
Already sales up to December 2010 were 5,7% up on 2009’s full year figures and we are confident that we will reach our expected target of 412.000 passengers for the total of 2010.
All markets are doing well, with the exception of North America, which is still suffering a slight decline (-0,4%). Hopefully we’ll see some recovery of this market in 2011.The Select Pass has had a very good year with a 12,8% increase in sales and remains Eurail's most popular pass with a market share of 35,7%. This product did really well over the summer months and is clearly the main peak season product. The One Country Pass also grew well with 15,2% more passengers. This product has sold consistently well throughout the year, as there is less seasonal variance with this product. The Global Pass has recovered moderately from the dip it experienced with a 2,4% growth. Regional Passes are up 6%.
