Train types: Intercity (IC) trains connect Serbia (Belgrad) to Podgorica and Bar; local trains serve the other stations.
Bikes are allowed on local trains upon purchase of a special bike ticket and on some international connections, depending on the type of train.

Long-distance bus services connect main cities with the coast. Ask at bus stations for timetables.
Food and drink
Eat meat - Kuvani Brav (boiled lamb is the local highlight); but for a traditional and simple meal ask for Popara (bread with milk, oil and cheese); Cevapi (grilled meat) and Burek (fried filled pastry stuffed with cheese or meat).
Drink local wine: Vranac (for a versatile red wine); and Krstac (for a lively white one).
Accommodation
Hotels can be expensive (especially in Podgorica): private rooms are usually the best choice.
