German and Austrian railways are offering joint services from Munich via Innsbruck to Italy (Bolzano, Trento, Verona, Venezia, Bologna) up to 5 times a day. This very scenic route via the Alps - featuring breath-taking views of traditional mountain villages and romantic towns as well as Italian “dolce vita” - is highly popular since its inauguration particularly with overseas guests touring Europe.
It is an all-season highlight from Germany/Austria towards south and vice versa.
